Reservation & Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy

As a small boutique hotel, cancellations significantly impact our ability to rebook rooms. The following cancellation policy applies to all reservations:

  • No Charge – Reservations cancelled more than 48 hours before the scheduled arrival date.
  • 50% Charge of Total Stay – Reservations cancelled within 48 hours of arrival.
  • 100% Charge of Total Stay – Reservations cancelled within 24 hours of arrival, no-shows, or same-day cancellations.

All cancellation requests must be received by email, phone, or through the booking platform used to make the reservation.

Property Information

The Beard and Lady Inn is a historic boutique hotel offering a unique and self-guided guest experience.

  • We utilize digital/self check-in for most stays.
  • Staff are not typically present on-site 24 hours a day.
  • Depending on occupancy, guests may be the only guests staying in the building during their visit.
  • The property is intentionally designed to embrace its historic character, atmosphere, and storytelling traditions.

Guests seeking a traditional hotel experience with a staffed front desk, frequent guest activity, or a modern chain-hotel environment may wish to consider other accommodations.

Historic & Atmospheric Property Disclosure

The Beard and Lady Inn is known for its historic ambiance and distinctive character. Many guests enjoy the property's unique atmosphere, while others may find the setting quieter or more unusual than a conventional hotel.

Refunds will not be issued due to:

  • Personal discomfort with the property's atmosphere or historic character.
  • Concerns that the property feels "spooky," haunted, isolated, or quieter than expected.
  • Concerns regarding self check-in procedures or the absence of on-site staff, provided these features have been disclosed prior to arrival.
  • A guest's decision to shorten their stay after check-in.

By completing a reservation, guests acknowledge that they have reviewed the property's description, amenities, photographs, and policies and understand the nature of the experience being offered.

Early Departures

No refunds or credits will be issued for early departures, unused nights, weather-related travel disruptions, personal schedule changes, or circumstances outside the control of the Beard and Lady Inn.

We encourage guests to contact us before making a reservation if they have questions about the property, check-in process, accessibility, location, or guest experience. We are happy to help ensure the Beard and Lady Inn is a good fit for your stay.

BELOW ARE FOR NON-HOTEL PRODUCTS

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at info@beardandladyinn.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
