The Beard and Lady Inn is a great destination if you love UTV, Side by Side (SXS), and motorcycle riding. We welcome riders to enjoy the trails and beautiful roads we have near Chester.
UTILITY TERRAIN VEHICLES (UTV)
Buckhorn OHV (Off-Highway Vehicles)Trail System - 60+ mile network of trails interweaving with Lee Creek in the Ozark Boston Mountains the Western most part of the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest. There are two looped clay/dirt trails connected by shortcuts winding through hills and valleys of a hardwood forest where you can enjoy waterfalls, a creek crossing and swimming holes at Lee Creek.

Directions (6 miles from the Inn): You can drive your UTV/SXS to the Freedom Road trail head at 27237 Freedom Rd. Chester, AR. Go North on Front street toward the Chester Country Cafe and the bridge. Turn left (west) onto Brown Street and cross over the bridge. Brown Street immediately turns into Old 12 Cross Roads. Travel for 5.4 miles on Old 12 Cross Roads. Turn right (north) on Freedom Road and go 0.8 miles, then turn left onto the MVUM road into the forest. Note that this is an unimproved trailhead.
To reach the 220 trailhead you will need to trailer your rig on Old 12 Cross Roads for 10.4 miles west to its intersection with Hwy 220. Turn right (north) for 2.1 miles and you will find the large parking area on the right for the 220 trailhead.

Byrd's Adventure Center - Ozark - 57 miles - ATV, UTV, 4X4 30 miles of riding trails plus nice restaurant (1 hour and 3 minutes away)
Mill Creek OHV Trail Loop - Elkins - 36.5 miles - 49.5 miles of UTV and ATV trails, possibly 4X4 (1 hour and 8 minutes away)

The Ozarks are considered one of the top places in the country to ride motorcycles, so riders can enjoy riding to Lake Fort Smith, Devil's Den, and Natural Dam within minutes of the Inn.
Bike, Blues and BBQ Motorcycle Rally - World's largest charity motorcycle rally held in Fayetteville, AR for four plus days with over 400,000 participants. It is likely the third largest biker rally in the entire country with bbq, drinks, live music, bike & car show plus scenic and historic rides. The Beard and Lady Inn is conveniently located only two minutes off of the Old Town Van Buren ride, the Winslow Ride and the Lake Fort Smith/Ozark Loop. Steel Horse Rally is a charity motorcycle rally held in Fort Smith, AR for two plus days with over 100,000 participants. Includes vendors, life music, motorcycle racing. The Beard and Lady Inn is located only a few minutes off of the Pig Trail and True Detective. See the Steel Horse Rally website for more details.
TransAmerica Trail (TAT) - 5,000+ mile cross-country mostly off-pavement dual-sport motorcycle and 4x4 trail runs nearby Chester through the Ozark National Forest. Watch the video on the TransAm Trail website and purchase an Arkansas map which contains the 450 mile map of the state.
