Each of our 11 guest rooms are designed around a common fear or human experience.
Room 1, Writer's Block, is located at the front corner of the building. This is the perfect place to stay if you’re looking for windows of inspiration. Having three windows it's a room that lets in wonderful amounts of both sun and moon. Also for those of you that the muse strikes in the middle of the night, the train might wake you on its schedule of 11pm, 3 am, & 5 am and spur on its own inspiration. With fun creative decor and a typewriter, it's perfect for 1-2 guests looking to unplug and reflect within for a fresh creative flow.
Writer's Block is based on the concept of stifled creativity and lack of a clear direction. It reminds us that every writer (or artist) sometimes feels uninspired or stuck, and a fresh environment can be the best remedy. The artist inside of us is looking for that creative spark and this room is a reminder to pause and remember that life ebbs and flows. We can all be creative if we are given the time and space to create and innovate.
